East Anglia Coating Solutions Ltd is a specialist coatings consultancy based in Ipswich, delivering inspection, quality assurance, training and project-managed coating solutions across the UK, with a strong presence throughout East Anglia.
Our company
We support fabricators, finishers, contractors and asset owners from specification development through to final inspection and project completion. Our work covers protective and decorative coatings, liquid and powder systems, and everything that decides whether they last: design, preparation, application, inspection and documentation.
We are independent. We never apply coatings or supply applicators, so every inspection and every recommendation is made for you alone.
ICorr Level 3 and AMPP-certified inspectors are available in the company, alongside our lead inspector's ICorr Level 2 and AMPP (formerly NACE) Level 2 certification, so the right level of expertise is on every job.
Our approach is simple: measure carefully, report honestly and help the people doing the work get it right first time.

Our experience
Practical experience at every stage of a coating.
We have prepared, applied, inspected and signed off coatings, and run quality for a multi-process finisher. That experience shapes every inspection and every recommendation we make.
Preparation and application
Blast cleaning, wet spray, powder coating, zinc metal spraying and chemical pretreatment, done by hand before we ever inspected them.
Quality management
Factory laboratories, calibration, inspection and test plans, inspection reports and certificates of conformity.
Coating inspection
Steelwork inspection on demanding projects, against the specification, with fully traceable records.
Technical consultancy
Specification advice, site visits and system recommendations for protective coatings and passive fire protection.
Audits and approvals
ISO 9001, Qualicoat, Qualisteelcoat and coating-manufacturer audits, from the applicator’s side of the table.
Training
SOPs, inspection standards and practical training for applicators and supervisors, in English, Polish or Slovak.

Measure, then decide
Opinions start arguments. Measurements settle them. Every judgement we make is backed by a reading, a photo or a reference.
Say it straight
If work is not right, we say so, clearly and early, while it is still cheap to fix. That protects everyone, including the applicator.
Work with the team
Inspection is not about catching people out. We explain what we find and help the people doing the work get it right.
